Liza Snyder

Snyder is a native of Northampton, Massachusetts. Her mother, a songwriter/singer, is her father. He also is an associate professor of theater in Smith College. The grandparents of her maternal lineage were a five-time Oscar Award-winning composer Johnny Green, and the actress and consumer reporter, Betty Furness. Snyder trained in acting with The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre, New York City. Her coach was Sanford Meisner. Snyder began her acting career with television dramas such as The Trials of Rosie O'Neill as well as Murder, She Wrote. Snyder landed her first significant role as Molly Whelan, in 1993's ABC crime drama Sirens. After the show's cancellation it was her turn to star in two TV movies as well as guest-starring on Chicago Hope and Pacific Blue. From 1998 to the year 2000 she was a regular cast member in the NBC sitcom Jesse that starred Christina Applegate. The big screen debut of Snyder was the role that was a secondary one in Pay It Forward which was directed by Mimi Leder. Snyder began her career as Christine Hughes, a CBS sitcom Yes, Dear, later in the same year. It ended the show in. Snyder was on hiatus of five years after Yes, Dear. In 2011, Snyder came back to screen in her guest role as a patient undergoing lung transplantation in the show House. In a Raising Hope episode from 2013 She reprised her Yes, Dear character.
